1. Who We Are

IPDash ("we", "us", "our") operates the website ipdash.cc. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our site.

2. What Data We Collect

2.1 IP Address & Network Information

When you visit IPDash, we use Cloudflare's built-in request metadata to display your public IP address and approximate location. This information is:

  • Provided by Cloudflare's edge network — no third-party APIs are used
  • Displayed to you in real-time and not stored as a record on our servers
  • Never shared with any third party beyond what Cloudflare provides as part of its standard CDN service

The only exception is abuse prevention: when you use a feature that calls our API (e.g. IP Reputation, Deep Dive or the Speed Test), a short-lived counter keyed to your IP is kept in Cloudflare KV so we can rate-limit spam. These counters hold no content, are never shared, and are automatically deleted within an hour.

2.2 Client-Side Tools

Most of our Tools page runs detection scripts (screen resolution, browser fingerprinting, WebRTC, remote-session detection, extension probing, etc.) entirely in your browser. This data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is not sent to any server
  • Is not stored or logged anywhere

Exception — IP Reputation & Risk tool: When you open this one tool, your public IP address is sent to proxycheck.io to retrieve a fraud/risk score and proxy/VPN classification. Only your IP is sent (no browser or device data), the lookup runs only when you expand that tool, and IPDash does not store the result. See proxycheck.io's own privacy policy for how they handle the query.

Exception — IP Deep Dive page: When you click "Run Deep Dive", your IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are discovered (via ipify) and each is sent to several third-party IP-intelligence services — ipwho.is, ip-api.com, freeipapi.com, ip.guide and proxycheck.io — so their results can be compared. Only your IP addresses are sent, nothing runs until you explicitly confirm, and IPDash does not store the results. Each service handles the query under its own privacy policy.

2.3 Cloudflare Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (a privacy-first, cookie-free analytics service) to understand general traffic patterns. Cloudflare Analytics does not use cookies, does not track individual users, and does not collect personal data.

2.4 Affiliate Links

Our Protect page contains affiliate links to third-party services including VPN providers, password managers, and digital SIM providers. When you click these links:

  • You are redirected to the provider's own website
  • The provider may set their own cookies and tracking on their domain
  • IPDash may earn a commission at no extra cost to you
  • We do not share any personal data with these providers — the affiliate relationship is handled entirely by the provider's own tracking system
  • No additional cookies are set on ipdash.cc as a result of affiliate links

3. Cookies

IPDash itself does not set any cookies. However, the following third-party services used on this site may set cookies:

3.1 Google AdSense

We display advertisements via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. Specifically:

  • Personalised ads: Google may use cookies (such as the DART cookie) to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
  • Third-party vendors: Third-party ad networks may also use cookies. You can review and manage these at aboutads.info.

For more information on how Google uses your data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

3.2 Cookie Consent

When you first visit IPDash, a cookie consent banner will appear. You may:

  • Accept all cookies — advertising and analytics cookies will be enabled
  • Reject non-essential cookies — only strictly necessary functionality will be used; no advertising cookies will be set

Your preference is stored locally in your browser (via localStorage) and can be changed at any time by clearing your browser data.

4. Third-Party Services

5. Data Retention

IPDash does not store any personal data. Your IP address and tool results are processed in real-time and never persisted. Cookie consent preferences are stored locally in your browser's localStorage.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR and similar regulations, you have the right to:

  • Refuse non-essential cookies via our consent banner
  • Opt out of personalised ads via Google Ads Settings
  • Clear your local data at any time by clearing your browser storage
  • Contact us with any privacy questions

7. Children's Privacy

IPDash does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
